other: The atmospheric pressure at the time of the experiment was 96.24 kPa (Meteo Suisse). A correction of the temperature to normalised pressure (101.325 kPa) was made.

Accuracy checking

The accuracy of the instrument was checked by determining the melting point of a certified sample of benzoic acid (certified melting point: 122.1 °C ± 0.2 °C)> the results were:

Correction to normalised pressure

The determination of this correction factor was made using the Sidney Young equation, as recommended in OECD guideline 103.

The boiling point of the test substance was determined according to guidelines OECD guideline 103, EC method A.2 and EPA OPPTS 830.7220. The boiling point of the test substance was found to be 595 K (322 °C).
