Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of Annex X of the Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 REACH concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), the study does not need to be conducted, if no considerable exposure of sediment organisms is to be expected.

The test substance is not supposed to be directly applied to sediment and an indirect exposure to sediment is unlikely since the substance is readily biodegradable. For substances being considered as „readily biodegradable“, it can be assumed that they will be biologically degraded within the STP-process. In special cases, if the substance is not entering the STP-process but is readily biodegradable, it can be assumed that it will be rapidly biological degraded in the surface water. In both cases, a transfer to the sediment compartment is unlikely. As a consequence, no tests on sediment organisms are provided.

No adequate data available (not necessary).
