Description of key information

The adsorption coefficient for soil or sewage sludge could not be experimentally determind by the HPLC method. Therefore, the Koc was estimated at 4.913 L/kg by using the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency EPI Suite KOCwin v2.00 Program.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:

Additional information

The adsorption coefficient for soil or sewage sludge could not be experimentally determined by the HPLC method. Therefore, QSAR modeling utilizing EpiSuite version 4.10, from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a validated QSAR program which is part of the OECD (Q)SAR Toolbox was used to calculate an adsorption coefficient for Polycat 9. The Log Koc for Polycat 9 was estimated at 0.6913 and the Koc was estimated at 4.913 L/kg by using the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency EPI Suite Program. This suggests that Polycat 9 exhibits low sorption onto soil and sediment.
