Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is inorganic
the study does not need to be conducted because decomposition occurred during the melting point study
Justification for type of information:

An experimental test for flash point is required for liquid substances only (according to ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance). This substance is an inorganic solid substance with with no melting point up to the decomposition temperature at ~230°C. The test is not considered to be required or relevant, and also not technically possible (as the available test methods are usually applicable only for liquids).

The study is therefore waived in accordance with REACH Annex VII Section 7.9 Column 2 and REACH Annex XI, Section 2 (testing technically not feasible).
