Additional information

Experimental data on the biodegradation of the substance in soil are not available. Based on the screening tests on biodegradability (5.2.1) the substance is considered as not readily or inherently biodegradable. According with Annex IX, column 2 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, biodegradation testing in soil does not need to be conducted as the Chemical Safety Assessment does not indicate a need for further investigations. According to Annex XI, Section 3 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 degradation tests in soil are deemed not necessary. The substance is not directly released to soil. Release rates to wastewater and air during manufacture, formulation and industrial use are negligible. The environmental exposure assessment for the substance indicates no risk for the terrestrial compartment (all RCR< 1; please refer to Chapter 9 and 10 of the Chemical Safety Report for detailed information).
