The identification of micro-organisms that are capable of degrading propene, together with QSAR predictions, estimated evaporation rates and degradation rates in the atmosphere, can be used as a weight of evidence approach to fulfil the requirements of the PBT and classification and labelling assessment of propene. Taken together these data suggest that propene would not persist in the environment.
