Under fire conditions the product emits toxic fumes.

Fire fighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothes to prevent contact with toxic fumes.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions to be taken: Cordoned off spill area. Use protective clothing (watertight) with autonomous breathing equipment (motor or autonomous equipments). Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Avoid breathing dust. Decontaminate (hands, face, clothes) after material is collected.

Environmental protection: Avoid leaking into a public drainage and/ or sewer.

Clearance of spilled product: Sweep up the spilled product and avoid raising dust. Place it in a container for waste disposal. Keep containers closed and remove according to current rules. After material is collected, clean the area and wash spill site according the established in-house procedure.

Handling and storage

Handling: Ensure good ventilation or aspiration in the area. To prevent dust formation, use localized extraction.

Use always with safety goggles. Wear suitable protective clothing. Avoid dust inhalation. Protect respiratory tract FP2/FP3.

Dust may form explosive mixtures with air. Take measures against electrostatic charges. Avoid ignition sources and warm surfaces. While handling, use appropriate electrically bond or grounding equipment.
