Additional information

In a 72-hour algal growth study, cultures of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata were exposed to the test item at concentrations of 0 (control) and 100% saturated solution under static conditions in accordance with the OECD 201 guideline. After 72-h an undiluted (100%) saturated solution of the test item in test media and under test conditions had no observable inhibitory effect on Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata growth. The given water solubility limit of the test item is < 5 μg/L. The concentration of test substance in test media could not be verified analytically. The test organisms were exposed to a saturated solution of the test substance in test media prepared with a saturation column. According to guidance in OECD 23, if an effect can not be detected in a test with a saturated solution the results should be reported as no toxic effects at saturation.
