Executive summary:

An algae growth inhibition test was performed according to OECD Guideline 201 in Pseudokirchneriella subpicata. 10E4 green algae were exposed up to 100 mg/L test item (3 replicates per dose) 72 hours under static condicions.Test item concentration was measured by HPLC analysis. Growth inhibition rate and biomass inhibition rates were evaluated. The 72h-EC50 and 72h-NOEC in green algae based on growh inhibition rate was determined to be 18.9 mg/L (95% CL: 17.1 -20.9 mg/L) and 9.35 mg/L respectively. The 72h-EC50 and 72h-NOEC in green algae based on biomass inhibition rate was determined to be 9.64 mg/L (95% CL: 8.82 -10.5 mg/L) and 2.06 mg/L respectively.
