Additional information

The determination was carried out by flask method based on OECD Guideline 105 the ETAD method. The concentration of the pigment in water was determined by HPLC-UV.

The method was developed by intensive cooperation with the ETAD (Ecological and Toxicological Association of Dyes and Organic Pigments Manufacturers) and is regarded as acceptable for pigments by authorities.

The quantification limit (LOQ) was defined as 2 times the detection limit therefore the LOQ is 12 μg/L.

As the test compound might release Cu ions in aquatic test systems a dissolution study is proposed to investigate the potential Cu release.
