Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance is with high probability not acutely harmful to fish. No toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP-guideline according OECD 203 has been conducted using zebrafish and a static exposure (BASF SE 2015). Due to the low solubility of the test item in water a saturated solution has been prepared. And Since the test substance is practically insoluble in water (< 12 µg/L) direct concentration control analyses were not possible. Although the concentration of the dissolved test substance itself could not be measured, all reasonable efforts were taken to produce a saturated solution of the test substance in test media, following the guidance in OECD 23. According to OECD 23, for tests with chemicals that cannot be quantified by analytical methods at the concentrations causing effects, the effect concentration can be expressed based on the nominal concentrations.

After 96 h exposure no acute toxic effects have been observed up to the solubility limit. Therefore, the LC50 has been determined to be > 100 mg/L (loading rate).
