Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006), Annex VII, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, for example on the basis of the chemical structure (e.g. organic substances not containing oxygen or halogen atoms and these elements are not chemically bound to nitrogen or oxygen, or inorganic substances not containing oxygen or halogen atoms).

The substance is deemed not to be potentially oxidising based on: chemical structure, derived oxygen balance values and known experience in handling and use.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the CLP Regulation (EC n. 1272/2008) oxidising solid means a solid substance or mixture which, while in itself is not necessarily combustible, may, generally by yielding oxygen, cause, or contribute to, the combustion of other material.

Tets substance is not classified because is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials.
