PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Persistence Assessment

Although the substance has a half-life of 4.87 d in water and 10.61 d in sediment, it fulfills the criteria of very persistent (vP) on account of half-life of 277 d for the Barnes-Svea clay loam (DU) soil (HS model).

Bioaccumulation Assessment

The substance has a maximum BCF 1,410 L/kg, hence the substance is not bioaccumulative.

Toxicity Assessment

Although the substance is not classified as carcinogenic (category 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (category 1A or 1B), or toxic for reproduction (category 1A, 1B or 2), it possesses NOEC < 0.01 mg/L for fish (NOEC = 0.0094 mg/L) and Daphnia ( NOEC = 0.0059 mg/L). Hence, the substance fulfills the criteria for being a toxicant.

Summary and Overall Conclusions on PBT or vPvB Properties

The substance is considered vP and T but does not fulfill the criteria for bioaccumulation, as specified in REACH Annex XIII. As such, the substance is not considered a PBT or vPvB substance, based on the available data.

The substance is manufactured in the EU under strictly controlled conditions and exporter directly thereafter.
