Cypress oil is a pale yellow, clear, mobile, liquid at ambient temperature; it doesn't undergo freezing down to -20°C, and distillates from ca 177°C. It is expected to float over water, because of its very low relative density (0.87), and slight solubility of its major components (ca 2 to 4 mg/L). Some of them may also exhibit moderate volatility (up to ca 630 Pa) and potential for bioaccumulation (log K > 4). By analogy, no surface-active properties are anticipated.
Based on its flash point of ca 36°C, Cypress oil will be classified as a Flammable liquid (cat.3, according to CLP criteria).
It is not regarded as hazardous with regard to other physical hazard classes (explosivity, self-reactive nor oxidising properties).
It should be noted that, as a Natural Complex Substance, the above properties of Cypress oil may exhibit some variations.
