Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is not readily biodegradable under the conditions of the test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The biodegradation potential of the substance in water was determined in a screening study according to OECD TG 301B (CO2 -Evolution Test) and in compliance with GLP criteria (BASF, 2015). In this study ca. 33 mg/L test substance (20 mg TOC/L) was inoculated with activated sludge from a municipal sewage plant for 28 days under aerobic conditions. During the incubation period degradation was followed by determining the carbon dioxide produced. After the 28 -day incubation period less than 10% of the test substance was biodegraded. Based on these findings, the test substance is classified as not readily biodegradable.
