Description of key information

Short term toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity of the test item to Zebrafish (Danio rerio) was determined according to OECD Guideline 203. The LC50 was determined to be 16.1 mg/L (nominal) after 96h.

Short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The acute immobilisation of the test item to daphnia magna was determined according to OECD guideline 202. The EC50 value after 48 h was determined to be 117 mg/L.

Toxicity to aquatic algae

The toxicity of the test item to the unicellular freshwater green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined according to the principles of OECD 201 and Council Regulation (EC) No. 761/2009 C.3. The EC50-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC50) after 72 hours was 61.9 mg/L. The EC-10 -values for inhibition of growth rate after 72 hours was 47.4 mg/L.

Toxicity to microorganisms

In a ready biodegradability test no toxic effects to microorganisms were observed after incubation with 1.75 mg/L test substance.

Additional information

Short term toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity of the test item to Zebrafish (Danio rerio) was determined according to OECD Guideline 203. The study was conducted under semi-static conditions over a duration of 96 hours. The nominal test item concentrations were: 5.00 - 8.89 - 15.8 - 28.1 - 50 mg/L. The LC50 value was determined to be 16.1 mg/L (nominal) after 96 h and the LC100 value was determined to be 28.1 mg/L (nominal) after 96 h.

Short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The acute immobilisation of the test item to daphnia magna was determined according to OECD guideline 202. The nominal test item concentrations were: 56.25 - 112.5 - 225 - 450 - 900 mg/L. The EC50 value after 48 h was determined to be 117 mg/L.

Toxicity to aquatic algae

The toxicity of the test item to the unicellular freshwater green alga Pseudokirchneriellasubcapitata was determined according to the principles of OECD 201 and Council Regulation (EC) No. 761/2009 C.3. The EC50-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC50) and yield (EyC50) after 72 hours were 61.9 (58.0 - 82.0) mg/L and 48.5 (39.8 - 52.4) mg/L, respectively. The EC-10-values with 95 % confidence intervals for inhibition of growth rate (ErC10) and yield (EyC10) after 72 hours were 47.4 (36.6 - 53.9) mg/L and 36.0 (28.8 - 47.8) mg/L, respectively. The NOEC-values for bothinhibitionof growth rate and yield after 72 hours were 31.6 mg/L, respectively.

Toxicity to microorganisms

In a ready biodegradability test no toxic effects to microorganisms were observed after incubation with 1.75 mg/L test substance.
