Description of key information

FAT 20036/G TE is a black powder, solid at 20 °C. No melting point and boiling point could be determined because the test substances started to decompose before melting occurs. The decomposition started at about 260 °C. The density of the test item at 20 °C is determined to be 1.4856 g/cm³. In the particle size distribution study, the L50 was found to be 70.737 µm, the L10 to be 7.730 µm and L90 is found to be 104.507 µm. The vapor pressure test was not performed in accordance with Column 2, adaptation statement of REACH Annex VII, information requirement section 7.5 because the test substance did not melt before decomposition occurs. The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of the test item at 20 °C was determined to Pow = 0.198, Log Pow = -0.70. The water solubility of the test item at a temperature of 20 °C was determined to be 53.7 g/l. The surface tension was determined to be 72.042 mN/m at room temperature. The flash point was waived in accordance with Section 2 of REACH Annex XI as the substance is a powder with high melting point. No auto-ignition was observed until 550 °C and the test substance FAT 20036/G TE is neither flammable nor explosive. The determination of oxidizing properties was waived in accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII as this substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials based on its chemical structure.
