Additional information

A 48 h toxicity study towards Daphnia magna according to OECD guideline 202 under consideration of GLP is available for CAS 65140-91-2 (BMG 2013). This study revealed an EC50 value of > 100 mg/L and a NOEC of >= 100 mg/L test substance. No effects could be recorded. A detailed read across justification is attached to the specific endpoint study record. No toxic effects could be observed up to the water solubility of the compound.

Furthermore, a supporting study on CAS 976-56-7 is available which was conducted with Tween 20 as vehicle. The exposure time was only 24h. The EC 50 value was calculated to be 120 mg/L, the graphically determined EC50 value was 110 mg/L. The observed EC0 value was 10 mg/L and the EC 100 value was found to be greater than 100 mg/L. No toxic effects could be observed up to the water solubility of the compound.

In conclusion, there is a high probability that the product is not acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
