Additional information

The lowest tested concentration, i.e. 0.0081 mg/l, caused one dead (25 %), while the tested concentration immediately higher did not caused any deaths. At 0.081 mg/l the 80 % of the organisms resulted to be immobilized.

The DyStarColours Distribution GmbH (1988) study is invalidated because it did not satisfy the validity criteria for OECD 202, part II, adopted on April 4, 1984: it did not satisfy the test criteria that requires 20 young animals per parent in the control and because the first hatchlings were counted in the control on day 12 (instead than maximum 9 days). In addition, no suitable method was available for the analytical monitoring dutring the experiment, thus there are no evidences that the concentration of the substance being tested was satisfactorily maintained over the test period.
