Additional information

No experimental study is available for 1,3-Propanediol, 2,2-dimethyl-, C5-9 carboxylates (CAS 85711-80-4) investigating the abiotic hydrolysis. In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VIII, column 2, 9.2.2.1 the testing of abiotic hydrolysis is not required as the substance is readily biodegradable. However, hydrolysis rates for representative constituents of 1,3-Propanediol, 2,2-dimethyl-, C5-9 carboxylates were calculated using HYDROWIN v2.00 (Szymoszek, 2015). The results show that the abiotic hydrolysis is not a relevant degradation pathway (5.3-19.7 yr at pH 7; 193.5 d – 1.97 yr at pH 8).
