Executive summary:

The particle size distribution of the substance was determined according to ISO 13320-1:1999. The overall mass median diameter (D50 percentile) was 8.03 µm (range of medians of 6 measurements: 7.89 – 8.18 µm). The corresponding overall D10 and D90 percentiles were 1.98 and 29.8 µm, respectively. The overall volume weighted mean diameter was 14.0 µm (range of means: 13.7 – 14.2 µm). Hence the particle size data attained from the six measurements were quite consistent. Approximately 99 volume % of the generated dispersion was ≤ 100 µm, 59% ≤ 10 µm and approximately 26% ≤ 4 µm.
