Additional information

Fir silver oil is a clear, colourless to slight yellow liquid at ambient temperature; it doesn't undergo freezing down to -20°C, and distillates from ca 169°C. It is expected to float over water, because of its low relative density (0.87), and slight solubility (major components between 2 and 4.6 mg/L). Some of them may also exhibit moderate volatility (up to ca 630 Pa) and potential for bioaccumulation (log K > 4). By analogy, no surface-active properties are anticipated.

Based on its flash point of ca 36°C, Fir silver oil will be classified as a Flammable liquid (cat.3, according to CLP criteria).

It is not regarded as hazardous with regard to other physical hazard classes (explosivity, self-reactive nor oxidising properties).

It should be noted that, as a Natural Complex Substance, the above properties of Fir silver oil may exhibit some variations.
