Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Major components ranging between 2 and 5.6 mg/L at ambient temperature (literature and QSAR).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No study was conducted on the oil itself.

In a Weight of Evidence approach, literature provided data for four of the five major components:

- alpha-pinene WS ca 1.97 mg/L,

- beta-pinene WS ca 2.11 mg/L,

- beta-myrcene, WS ca 4.1 - 5.6 mg/L,

- limonene WS ca 2.73 mg/L (at temperatures between 20 and 25°C).

For the other one, no literature data was available, so the dataset was completed with a valid QSAR estimation (at 20°C):

- delta-3-carene WS ca 3.83 mg/L.

As no CSA is required for the tonnage band of concern, no key value was retained (nor calculated weighted WS nor worst-case).

Moreover, as a UVCB with constituents of different solubility, the global solubility of the oil will depend on the loading rate (with varying ratio of constituents in the dissolved phase).
