Description of key information

The melting point / melting range of Bluequat-Bromid (Batch number: PP 1 -4) was determined according to OECD 102 (1995) and Directive 92/69/EC Method A.1 on 2008 -04 -01 at Dr.U.Noack-Laboratorien, 31157 Sarstedt, Germany.
The melting point / melting range of Bluquat-Bromid could not be determined because decomposition occurred.

Additional information

The melting point / melting range of Bluquat-Bromid could not be determined. Decomposition was observed starting at a temperature of 499.9 K (226.7 'C). Up to 500.8 K (227.6 'C) colour of the test item turned into black while gas evolved. The residue was a tarry, amorphous mass.
