In accordance with the CLP Regulation criteria, a substance is classified as to its acute oral toxicity if LD502 000 mg/kg bw. The lowest published data on acute oral toxicity of trichlorosilane is LD50 (oral, rat) =1030 mg/kg (handbook data). This value corresponds to Class 4 Acute oral toxicity (300 < LD50 ≤ 2000 mg/kg bw).
