Additional information

From different studies mentioned in ECOTOX database the LC50 48h of N-mehtylaniline for fish is in the range between 38 and 88 mg/l.

In the study Tonogai et all, J.Hyg.Chem./Eisei Kagaku 29(5):280-285, 1983 are reported the following data for N-methylaniline:

LC50 48 h Killifish = 85.5 mg/l

LC50 48 h Gold fish = 88.0 mg/l

LC50 48h Carp = 55 mg/l

However, the lower data is reported in Tonogai et all, J. Toxicol. Sci.7(3): 193-203, 1982 (LC50 48h Oryzias latipes = 38 mg/l).

Following the precautionary approach, the lowest LC50 must be used for the risk assessment.
