Conclusion on classification

Short-term aquatic toxicity data are available for three trophic levels. The lowest observed acute effect concentration is a 48-h LC50 value of 103.51 mg/L as derived from a study with fish (P. promelas). Long-term aquatic toxicity data are available from an algae study in which a 72 -h EC10 value of 44.24 mg/L was derived. The substance is qualified as readily biodegradable based on a read-across with 3 -methylpyridine (CAS# 108 -99 -6). The log Kow value is determined at <4 (no experimentally determined BCF value is available). Based on all this information, the substance needs not be classified for the environment according to regulation EC/1272/2008 (CLP) or according to directive 67/548/EC (DSD).
