Data on physical properties were obtained from a number of experimental studies base uopon EU test guidelines. The use of Klimisch codes (Klimisch et al. REGULATORY TOXICOLOGY AND PHARMACOLOGY 25, 1-5 (1997)) was applied and a reliability code of (1) valid without restrictions was assigned. Review of the collated information indicates that isopropenylacetate is a has a high vapour pressure, but is not very soluble in water with a relative density lower than water which indicates that if released in the water environment it would float above the water column. It is expected to volatize from water significantly.

The boiling point of isopropenylacetate (98.6˚C) and flash point (8.5 ˚C) indicate that this substance would be classified as category 2 flammable liquid with the hazard statement "highly flammable liquid and vapour".
