Additional information

The adsorption coefficient Koc in soil and in sewage sludge4-amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-1,7-disulphonic acid (CAS No. 130-23-4)was determined by the Reverse Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method according to OECD Guideline No. 121 for testing of Chemicals. The reference substances were chosen according to according to structural similarity with the test substance and calibration graph was prepared. The reference substances were Phenol, Aniline, Nitrobenzene, 4-nitrophenol, 2-nitrophenol, Naphthalene, n-naphtol, 1-naphthylamine, Phenanthrene having Kocvalue ranging from 1.32 to4.09 TheLog Kocvalue was found to be3.850± 0.000at 25°C.

Other predicted models i.e EPI suite and PBT profiler for target chemical 4-amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-1,7-disulphonic acid indicate the log Koc in the range 3.202 to 3.204 which is close to selected key value.
