Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH regulation, the study is scientifically unjustified since there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule of the chemical sodium 2-(2,3-dihydro-1,3-dioxo-1H-inden-2-yl)quinoline-6-sulphonate (Common Name: D&C Yellow 10). Thus, the chemical is not likely to be explosive and is considered "Non-explosive" for the purpose of chemical safety assessment.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH regulation, the study is scientifically unjustified since there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule of the chemical sodium 2-(2,3-dihydro-1,3-dioxo-1H-inden-2-yl)quinoline-6-sulphonate (Common Name: D&C Yellow 10). Thus, the chemical is not likely to be explosive and is considered "Non-explosive" for the purpose of chemical safety assessment and CLP Classification.
