Description of key information

The boiling point of the target substance is based on the experimental study (ASTM D1120).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
139 °C

Additional information

Two concentrations of target substance (100 % and 75 % in acetic anhydride) were tested and the initial boiling points obtained in different tests are all +/- 1°C around the theoretical boiling point of 139°C. Based on this experimental study 139°C was selected as the key value for CSA.
