Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Biodegradation:

Readily biodegradable: >= 78% degradation after 28 d (OECD 301F)

Bioaccumulation potential:

Log Pow: 1.325

Aquatic acute toxicity:

EC50 (48h) Daphnia magna: 1.29 mg/L (nominal)

ErC50 (72h) Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata: 3.27 mg/L (measured, geom. mean)

Aquatic chronic toxicity:

ErC10 (72h) Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata: 1.8 mg/L (measured, geom. mean)

Classification according to CLP:

Based on the data above, the substance is ready biodegradable and is considered to have a low potential for bioaccumulation. The lowest acute aquatic toxicity EC50 is > 1mg/L. Valid long-term toxicity data are available for algae (EC10 = 1.8 mg/L). Therefore, the substance has not to be classified and labelled according to the 6th ATP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP).
