320°C: some bubbles were observed but no bubble chain

372 °C: the test item became clearly darker

Second determination

320°C: some bubbles were observed but no bubble chain

372 °C: the test item became clearly darker

 

No boiling point could be determined due to decomposition of the test item before boiling. Some bubbles were observed at 320 °C, but no bubble chain was obtained during further heating and at 372 °C the test item became clearly darker. After cooling down the samples were brown and viscous. As the test item decomposes,a correction to standard pressure following Sidney-Young was not applied.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
An attempt was made to determine the boiling point of the test item MAEEBP according to OECD 102 resp. EU A.1 following the SIWOLOBOFF method. No boiling point could be determined due decomposition of the test item before boiling.
