Description of key information

Flash point = 50°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
flammable

Additional information

As the substance is a liquid, the relevant test for flammable properties is the flash point measurement. A reliable experimental study is presented under point 4.11.

Based on the chemical structure of the major components and experience, no flammable properties are anticipated if contact with air or water, therefore specific studies were deemed unnecessary.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 criteria, the measured flash point lies between the threshold values of 23 and 60°C, therefore the substance is classified as FLAMMABLE LIQUID category 3 (H226).

According to Directive 67/548/EEC criteria, the measured flash point lies between the threshold values of 21 and 55°C, therefore the substance is classified as FLAMMABLE (R10).
