Classification according to CLP

Acute toxicity data are available for all three trophic levels whereas chronic data are available only for algae. Aquatic invertebrates and algae exhibit a EC50 < 1 mg/L. Thus, the tested substance needs to be classified as “acute category 1” (H400) with an M factor for acute aquatic toxicity of 1, according to the 6th ATP of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP). Furthermore, the tested substance is considered to be rapidly degradable and has a high potential for bioaccumulation based on the log Kow (Log Kow = 5.97). Thus, the substance needs additionally to be classified as “chronic category 1” (H410) according to the 6th ATP of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) based on the available acute toxicity data.
