Endpoint:
flammable solids
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2014-12-17~2014-12-17
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Remarks:
The lab does not acquire a GLP certification.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids))
Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The substance was formed into an unbroken powder train about 250mm long by 20mm wide by 10mm high on a non-combustible, non-porous and low heat-conducting base plate. A hot flame from a gas burner (minimum diameter is 5mm) was used to ignite the pile at one end. The test item could not be ignited within 2min.
Executive summary:

According to EC REGULATION No 440/2008 Annex A.10 Flammability (Solids), the sample is not considered as highly flammable. The test result is "non flammable", so that hazard category in CLP is not classified.

Description of key information

The sample is not considered as highly flammable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The substance was formed into an unbroken powder train about 250mm long by 20mm wide by 10mm high on a non-combustible, non-porous and low heat-conducting base plate. A hot flame from a gas burner (minimum diameter is 5mm) was used to ignite the pile at one end. The test item could not be ignited within 2min.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to EC REGULATION No 440/2008 Annex A.10 Flammability (Solids), the sample is not considered as highly flammable. The test result is "non flammable", so that hazard category in CLP is not classified.
