Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex IX, column 2, 9.2.1.2., 9.2.1.4 simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water and sediment is not required. Fatty acids, C18-unsatd., dimers, reaction products with fatty acids, C14-18 and C16-18-unsatd. and propylidynemethanol (CAS 162353-70-0) isconsidered readily biodegradable. According to the ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7b a simulation test would not provide any new findings since a rapid mineralization in the environment is already assumed (ECHA, 2016).
