Any other information on results incl. tables
Flammability
Preliminary Test
An attempt was made to ignite the sample (see section 3.3.1) with the aim to determine the burning time over a distance of 200 mm, if applicable. The flame of a gas burner was used as ignition source.
Main Test
No further tests were performed according to the results obtained in the preliminary test.
Flammability in Contact with Water and Pyrophoric Properties
The assessment was performed based on the chemical structure and the test item properties.
Flammability in Contact with Water (Practical Experience)
Different studies were performed in aqueous test systems (e.g. water solubility). The test item did not show any spontaneous ignition or formation of flammable gases performing the abovementioned study.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- FAT 40842/A TE is not "highly flammable" according to the criteria of the guideline.
FAT 40842/A TE does not ignite spontaneously when in contact with water or humid air
FAT 40842/A TE does not shows risk with respect to pyrophoric propeties. - Executive summary:
Flammability
FAT 40842/A TE could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes). Therefore, no main test was performed.
FAT 40842/A TE is not "highly flammable" according to the criteria of the guideline.
Flammability in Contact with Water and Pyrophoric Properties
FAT 40842/A TE does not ignite spontaneously when in contact with water or humid air and shows no risk with respect to pyrophoric propeties.
