Estimation of the vapour pressure of the inorganic impurities of the test substance FAT 40853/A TE through computational methods

 

The test substance FAT 40853/A TE consists of about 24.5 % inorganic impurities. These inorganic impurities are sodium or calcium salts (sulphate, chloride, fluoride or hydrogenphosphate). The vapour pressure of these inorganic salts is in most cases below 10-10Pa and thus negligible.

 

 

Estimation of the vapour pressure of the known organic impurities of the test substance FAT 40853/A TE through computational methods

 

The test substance FAT 40853/A TE contains four known organic by-products (about 17 %). The molecular structure of these by-products is similar to the structure of the main constituent. Accordingly the vapour pressure of these compounds is assumed to be in the same magnitude as the vapour pressure of the main constituent.

 

Conclusion

The calculations of the vapour pressure for the test substance resulted in the following range of values when performed with programs MPBPVP and SPARC.
