PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The substance hydrolyses in water under environmentally relevant conditions within a few days (cf. report 12-14257-16/13-00487-16). The half-live of Nitrososilane in water was determined to be pH dependent with a T1/2<<30min at pH 4 and a T1/2=40h at pH 7. Therefore, the persistence criteria is not fulfilled. In addition, the available NOEC (algae) is >0.01mg/l. The properties of the substance, therefore, do not meet the specific criteria detailed in Annex XIII or do not allow a direct comparison with all the criteria in Annex XIII but nevertheless indicate that the substance is not likely to have these properties and, consequently, that the substance is not considered a PBT/vPvB.
