the surrounding environment.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards during firefighting : Harmful or toxic vapours are released.
For further information, refer to section 10 of the safety data sheet: "Stability and Reactivity".

Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for firefighters : Self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 133)
Full protective suit

Specific fire fighting methods : Standard procedure for chemical fires.
Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray
Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be
discharged into drains.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures :
Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes.
Use personal protective equipment.
For further information refer to section 8 "Exposure controls/personal protection" of the safety data sheet.
If spillage occurs on the public highway, indicate the danger and notify the authorities (police, fire brigade).

Environmental precautions : Do not allow uncontrolled discharge of product into the environment.
Contain the spilled material by bunding.

Methods for Cleaning or Taking Up

Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Contain spillage, and then collect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and place in container for disposal according to
local regulations

Decontamination/cleaning : Wash non-recoverable remainder with large amounts of water. Recover the cleaning water for subsequent disposal.

Disposal : Dispose of contents/ container to an approved waste disposal plant.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control measures
Engineering measures : Facilities and equipment easily cleanable.
Provide adequate ventilation.

Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection : Use a respirator with an approved filter if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary.

Eye protection : Safety glasses with side-shields

Skin and body protection : Protective suit
Remove and wash contaminated clothing.

Safety shoes

Hygiene measures : Emergency equipment immediately accessible, with instructions for use.
Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
Regular cleaning of equipment, work area and clothing.
Use clean, well-maintained personal protection equipment.
Store personal protection equipment in a clean location away from the work area.
Keep working clothes separately.
Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace.
Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product.
Shower or bathe at the end of working.
When using do not eat, drink or smoke.

Protective measures : The protective equipment must be selected in accordance with current CEN
standards and in cooperation with the supplier of the protective equipment.
Selection of appropriate personal protective equipment should be based on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the protective equipment relative to the task(s) to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the potential hazards and/or risks that may occur during use.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability : Stable under normal ambient temperature and pressure and under recommended storage conditions

Hazardous reactions
None known

Materials to avoid : No dangerous reaction known with common products.

Decomposition products : Oxides of phosphorus
(Carbon oxides (CO + CO2)).

Disposal considerations

Product Disposal
Prohibition : Do not empty into drains.

Advice on Disposal : Dispose of as hazardous waste in compliance with local and national regulations.
Must be incinerated in a suitable incineration plant holding a permit delivered by the competent authorities.
