Description of key information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the bioaccumulation study in aquatic species (required in section 9.3.2) does not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation. The substance is a mixture of salts or free acids and is very hydrophilic as indicated by the very low logKow (<1.8) determined at pH 7. It is recognized that for ionized substances, the logKow might not be suitable for calculation of a BCF value. However, in general, ionized organic substances do not readily diffuse across surfaces. This is supported by an estimated value of BCF on the main components using the Meylan et al (1999) QSAR estimation from BCFBAF v3.01, suitable for ionic substances.
