key study
Study period:
12 October 2011- 31 January 2012
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids))
Version / remarks:
(2008)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: UN no. ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev.5: Part III: Classification Procedures, Test Methods and Criteria Relating to Class 2, Class 3, Class 4, Division 5.1, Class 8 and Class 9, Test N.1: “Test Method for Readily Combustible Solids” (2009)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes
Test procedure:
burning time (test type not further specified)
Remarks:
or specified in description of method (migrated information)
Remarks on result:
other: no burning

In contact with the flame of the gas burner the test material melted, emitted orange sparks and turned into a dark green residue. Red smoke was observed. After removal of the ignition source, no propagation of combustion of the test substance was observed.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
FAT 41043/A is not highly flammable by ignition.

Description of key information
