Additional information

The effect of 3,3'-(methylimino)dipropanenitrile (CAS-Nr. 1555 -58 -4) was tested by a GLP study according to the EU Method C.2 (Acute Toxicity for Daphnia) for the assessment of the short-term toxicity (BASF, 1997). Analytical verification was performed and the measured concentrations confirmed the nominal values, which indicates a good stability of the test item. The 48 -h EC50 was determined to be >100 mg/L (nominal).

3,3'-(methylimino)dipropanenitrile is concluded with high probability to be acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
