Testing for Impact Sensitivity
The test is performed with the falling hammer (impact energy 40 J). If at least in one out of ten times, without the sensitizing aluminum-wrapping, a blast is registered, the substance is shock sensitive. otherwise is " not sensitive to impact. "With impact-sensitive materials, an additional investigation is required under the explosives Act.
