The study was conducted according to an internationally recognized method, and under GLP. Restriction apply considering that a potential deformation of the pycnometer may occur when the heated test item is placed on the apparatus. Therefore a checking the apparatus volume after the test is recommended to confirm that the result can be expressed with 4 decimals. Test substance is adequately specified. The difference between both determinations was below 20 kg/m3. Therefore, no additional determination was performed.

The heated test item sample with the air bubbles removed which was used in the melting/ freezing point test was also used for this test.

The density of the test substance was measured under GLP according OECD 109 / EU A3 guideline, pycnometer method.

Two runs were performed. As the difference between both determinations was below 20 kg/m3, the results were considered as valid, and the mean density at 20.0 °C was calculated. This result was then converted to relative density towards water at 4 °C.
