- Executive summary:
The boiling point of the test substance was measured under GLP according to OECD 103 / EU A2 guideline, Siwoloboff (capillary) method.
The results of duplicate definitive boiling point determinations on test substance were as follows:
As the boiling tubes were heated at 1°C /minute, both samples were observed to darken above approximately 130 °C, indicating decomposition.
Reference
The trial determination showed an approximate decomposition point of 140 °C. When heating was continued in this preliminary test, the decomposed sample appeared to boil at approximately 270 °C.
The results of duplicate definitive boiling point determinations on test substance were as follows:

As the boiling tubes were heated at 1 °C /minute, both samples were observed to darken above approximately 130 °C, indicating decomposition. In the case of decomposition, correction is considered superfluous as the determination of decomposition is slightly subjective and can only be regarded as an approximate value.Description of key information
Decomposes (darkening) from ca 130°C before boiling. With prolonged heating, residue boils at ca 270°C.

Additional information
A fully reliable experimental study, conducted according to a recognized OECD/EU method, is available. It is considered as a key study. As decomposition was observed, no key value will be retained.
