Additional information

Based on the results of two O.E.C.D. Test Guideline readily biodegradation studies, 2,3 -epoxypropyl neodecanoate was biodegraded approximately 7 - 11%. Therefore, 2,3 -epoxypropyl neodecanoate is not readily biodegradable. However, when 2,3 -epoxypropyl neodecanoate was evaluated in an O.E.C.D. Testing Guideline 302 A, "Inherent Biodegradability: Modified SCAS Test" the level of biodegradation reached 68% +/- 5% over days 22 to 36 of the study. In a second test for inherent biodegradability, the O.E.C.D. test guideline no. 302C "Inherent Biodegradability; Modified MITT (II) Test", the mean percent of biodegradation over the 28 -day contact period was -1%. Therefore, based upon the weight-of-evidence, 2,3 -epoxypropyl neodecanoate does not biodegrade. From the results of the OECD 302 C the degradability of the 2,3-epoxypropyl neodecanoate does meet the criteria for P. Based on the results from the biodegradation for 2,3 -epoxypropyl neodecanoate there are no further tests required.
