Seek medical advice immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:

Water spray, foam, CO2, dry powder.

Specific hazards during fire fighting:

May be released in case of fire: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.

Under certain fire conditions, traces of toxic substances may occur.

Closed container may rupture if strongly heated.

In case of fire cool endangered containers with water.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:

Have ready/wear respiratory protection equipment.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions in case of accidental release:

Do not breathe vapours or spray mist. If respirable aersols / vapour occurs use respirator with filter for organic vapour

Avoid contact with the eyes: In case of accidental release safety glasses with side-shields have to be used.

Avoid contact with the skin: In case of accidental release gloves have to be used.

The following glove specification is a preliminary recommendation issued by Kächele-Cama Latex GmbH, Am Kreuzacker 9, D-36124 Eichenzell, www.kcl.de, which firm offers such protective gloves. The glove must be changed immediately if any changes in it occur (e.g. swelling, wear).

Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.

Environmental precautions:

Prevent material from entering drains and/or water ways.

Methods for cleaning up:

Take up mechanically or with an absorbent material.

Fill into marked, sealable containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

The substance is rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle.

The rules usually applicable when handling chemicals have to be observed.

The exposure can be assumed to be negligible.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under normal ambient conditions (temperatures, air, water). No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.

Disposal considerations

If waste occurs containing Hexanedioic acid, 2,2,4(or 2,4,4)-trimethyl-, dimethyl ester, this waste has to be disposed of to suitable waste incineration plant with respect to local regulations.
