Test solutions

Vehicle:
no
Details on test solutions:
A stock solution was prepared at a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L: 503.4 mg of test substance was dispersed in 5 liters of test medium using ultra-sonic treatment and intensive stirring. Temperature of the medium had increased to 35°C during preparation. The final stock solution was a homogeneous suspension. This stock was used to prepare the different test concentrations.

Test organisms

Test organisms (species):

- Common name: Carp
- Source: Zodiac, proefacc, "De Haar Vissen", L.U. Wageningen, the Netherlands.
- Length at study initiation (length definition, mean, range and SD): 2.75 ± 0.34 cm.
- Weight at study initiation (mean and range, SD): 0.76 ± 0.21 g.

ACCLIMATION
In the batch of fish used for the test, no mortality occurred during the seven days prior to the start of the test.

Remarks on result:
other: 95% CL 5.4 - 51 mg/L
Details on results:
No mortality observed in control.

At 100 mg/L, all fish died within 2.25 hours following the start of the exposure.

At 10 mg/L after 24 hours, the fish were discoloured.

At 10 mg/L after 48, 72, and 96 hours, the surviving fish were discoloured and hpoactive compared to the controls.
